Tutorial: How to use a hair pin.

Recently when I did the Half Up and Full Up Fat Twist tutorials, I told you that I’d do a hair pin tutorial. They are really great alternatives to bobby pins, and they don’t give you as much of a headache! So, we did this quick little video last night to show those of you who couldn’t figure out the pin situation.

Remember, this is a Hair Pin tutorial! If it had been a bun tutorial, I would have spent a little more time making it look nice. Haha

PS we didn’t go to DC.

Yay! I’m so buying hairpins today. I’ve had them used on my hair by professionals for updos, but always pitched them once I took my hair down, because I figured I wouldn’t be able to get them to work. My hair is very fine and soft, so bobbies slide out easily. I’ve been rocking buns a lot to work (especially on third day hair) but I’ve been getting so frustratied with bobby pins.

PS Thanks for recommending PSSSSST… it’s better than any other dry shampoo I’ve tried, even the very pricy, high end stuff. Yay x 2! I’ve been telling all my girlies about PSSSSST. They can’t believe when I tell them I’m on 3rd day hair (or like one day last week, 4th day hair!)

This is totally off topic but I love your nails. Whitney Port nails are my favorite right now. I love trying different combinations. Your colors are perfect!

These videos are great! I especially like the messy waves/Blake Livey one. Thanks for explaining that the key was to start in the middle of the hair; I had been starting at the ends and winding upwards, and I ended up looking like Shirley Temple!

Anyways, my tangential question for this video is what is the song that starts at the very end, around 3:47? I feel like I’ve heard it somewhere but I can’t find it and it’s driving me crazy! Thanks!
