There has been so much that I’ve wanted to talk to you all about! I’m really pretty excited to share the news!

Last month I started at Whittemore House in the West Village as a stylist. I’d love for you to come in for a cut and see my new place. It’s a beautiful salon and I’m so excited to be there.

Next up, April marks the one year anniversary of Hairdresser On Fire! I am cooking up some different ideas on how to celebrate, but I keep thinking a big giveaway with my favorite products would be the best way to thank you all for coming back and supporting the blog. Your emails and comments are so fun to read through, and your participation in the blog means so much to me. I’m proud of the growth of this blog throughout the year, even though I haven’t always been completely on top of it. Let’s celebrate and look forward to another great year!

I’m hoping to do them soon. I have like 20 I want to do.

I am having issues with one or more of the following things:

I mostly feel bad because I told you all to buy marcel irons and then I got tons of emails that were like “hey, we don’t know how to use these!”

Probably next week I’ll start on some. I think about it every day when I’m supposed to be listening to Jake talk about bills or life.

Hi everyone!

I received a valid question about how to apply dry shampoo, so I wanted to quickly explain that. When I’m applying it, I only spray it on the greasy/dirty spots. Then I kind of mash it in with my fingers. No brushing or combing needed. The oil in your hair will quickly absorb the powder, and you should hardly see any product. After a few more days sometimes my color will start to look a little dull, and that is when I’m about ready for the real shampoo.

About the Hair Answering feature on this blog, I am in shock over how many questions I’m steadily getting. I love it! I am in no way asking you to stop sending them in, but I think I’ll have to make one specific day a week that I’ll post a few questions/answers. I have so many that I have a little trouble knowing where to begin. Thanks for being patient, I haven’t gotten a single hate comment or email for my tardiness in answers. Thanks again!
