Video: What Is Hair Painting?

Posted in News on July 3rd, 2013 by Reagan

I get asked frequently on instagram about the technique my colorist (Carla Naya) uses to highlight my hair. Instead of foils, there are large panels of hair taken and painted with free hand, which looks scary if you’ve never had it done. Please enjoy the video Joe, Carla and I made to better explain the art of Hair Painting!

Well ! im not agree with you there …as a professionel balayage educator from France , hair painting is balayage…Balayage means the action of sweeping the paste on the hair or hair-painting can be both apply on the naturel movement of the hair and can be thick or thin , that s one difference from foil and it all depend on what you agree with your result .
That s call the freedom of painting but it is Balayage …because its an action !
Don t miss out on this because you are confusing clients and professionnel hairstylist.

I’ve always thought that hair painting was so cool! I haven’t found anyone that I trust enough to let them do it to me, though. I don’t want to give anyone the chance until I’ve seen the results. A little bit of a catch-22 :)
