The best brush for detangling.

This brush recently appeared at my salon in the shampoo sink area, and I’ve enjoyed it so much, it really just needs to be shared. It’s by LuxorPro and is just called “The Wet Brush”, and is meant to detangle your hair quickly and painlessly even in the shower. I’m not sure if you know this, but at a salon, long hair can easily tangle up while being shampooed at the sinks, because it kind of balls up on top of itself in there, rather than having room to hang freely like in the shower. It can really set a stylist back if they have to spend ten minutes combing out someone’s tangles, so this brush is my idea of convenience! I’m not sure how, but it really does glide through the hair, removing tangles so quickly!
It would be so great for those heads of hair that are long and incredibly thick and tangle easily, or for children with very tender scalps. I have heard people mention they’re also great for extensions, but I haven’t used them for that purpose yet.
Get one here! I like the black, which has a cool matte finish.

These are seriously the best brushes ever! I am a hairdresser as well . I use one on clients as well as at home. They sell like crazy! My extensions clients LOVE them. The flexible bristles detangle well without pulling and breaking the strands when they are wet. I think it may have been my favorite tool purchase of 2012.

Question, my hair tangles A LOT in the cold dry Colorado weather, but I’ve heard that using a brush to detangle it actually causes hair to break/split ends. So, I’ve been using a regular wide tooth comb.
Is this true? Does brushing vs combing make a difference??

I love this brush so much that when I discovered it 6 months ago I bought three! It’s the only thing that works in my crazy hair and in my daughters crazy hair!!!
We have had these brushes at my shop for months!! LOVE THEM!! perfect for any wet tangles but they pull when used in dry hair so only use in wet

Love this idea! My daughter wants her hair to always be cut super short so she doesn’t have to brush it because it hurts her head. She is a little bit of a drama queen if you ask me

I have long wavy hair that tangles badly. I’ve been on a long search to find what products will work best for my hair. After trying many things I’ve settled on this brush combined with Johnson’s Detangler Spray. I’m so happy to have found a solution to put an end to the long frustrating process I used to go thru to get my hair brushed thru after I showered. For those of you who know how frustrating tangling hair can be I highly recommend this product & hope you also find the combination of brush & detangler that works for you! I’m so relieved that i now only have to spend a few minutes brushing my hair after I shower to have it smooth & tangle free.

Your hair is certainly long enough for some lovely updos. Or do you not like the way you look with them? As far as keeping the tangles at bay, aloe vera gel works for me. So does using a wood comb, because it cuts down on the flyaway and static. How are you wearing your hair down? Is it subject to a lot of stress from wind or heat or other environmental factors? I have to wear my hair up for work, which used to really irritate me, because I prefer the way I look with hair down. Then I put on my big girl panties, got over it, and find I think I like the way I look with my hair up, instead. And I feel free to indulge myself with whatever hair toys I want. Once I started keeping my hair up most of the time, the condition improved, and I think the growth rate improved, too.

We have two of these brushes — the green one for medium hair and the pink one for fine hair. They’re both awful. My daughter and I both have “long” hair (a few inches below shoulder length) and we were so hopeful that at least one of these brushes would effectively get out the tangles AND be easy on the scalp. Not. So. Much. The brushes hurt, even when you’re trying to be extra gentle, and they don’t do a good job getting the knots out.
I would not recommend this product to anyone…especially considering the high price. Truly, don’t waste your money.
