In this second episode of “In a Hairry”, I do my hair for a very special night in. Watch the video to not only see who this mystery date is, but also to see if I can complete my “60s Hair Headband” in time!
Hairdresser on Fire – In A Hairry – The Date from Joe Varca on Vimeo.
I’m not going to say that this has to be for Valentine’s day, but it does make good date hair, am I right? And when I say date, you know I mean a night out/in with any of the following: your boyfriend/girlfriend, spouse, the Lifetime Movie Network, Netflix, your favorite Brazilian, some Chinese take-out, a good book, a glass/bottle of wine, your kids, your cats, etc.
Instructions for my 60s Hair Headband:
Part your hair as desired.
Grab a section of hair above your ear, but far enough down that it will be covered by the hair on top of your head.
Cross the section of hair to the other side of your head, smoothing as you go and pin in place.
Repeat on the other side.
Optional: Tease the crown of your head for more volume.
Theme song by Imagination Head and video Directed and Filmed by Joe Varca!
Curls made with this one inch Marcel iron

The ending–awwwww lol
In other news, I love this and cannot wait for my hair to get long again!
You are so freaking adorable Reags
Loved this! You could also make it even more dressy by adding a french twist or a bun… love all the possibilities! Hope my shoulder length hair will work for this… We will see
@Maura, Such a good idea!
Love the vid! You are so cute Xx
It would be great if you could include a photo of the finished hairstyle. just a suggestion to make it easier for mobile devices when catching up on my favourite blogs on the go!
Loved this video! I think it might be time to grow my hair out. (I just had a very sad realization that If i start growing my hair out right now, I’ll probably be 40 by the time I have long hair again. (I’m turning 36 next week. Seriously? 36?? I know. Wow)
Bah hahahaha!
Like the hair idea
So adorable. As always. Love the hair, love the vid, love you.

Cute cute cute! You and the hair and the ending. And this is a style that might actually work for my weird hair! Can’t wait to try it
I’m loving your videos! They’re so cute and you make everything look so easy. I’ll be trying this style this weekend
I just love these videos!!!! my husband just asked me what I was watching and I said “a video on how to make my hair cute.” He said “you don’t need that! you already have cute hair!” which is sweet, but one of my students today (a straight 18 year old male) made fun of my fishtail braid by saying “oh by the way, I should teach you how to do a REAL fish tail.” same kid that walked by my classroom last week and commented “what are you wearing? it’s ugly.” Oh boy.
keep up the good work, Reagan

You`re there to have fun and meet interesting men, not to pass a pop quiz. Let him know, how independent you are of this date, but try doing in a subtle matter, without being a snob

Amazing work!!! I like this post)
With a heavy heart Scolo takes the Lady’s advice and returns to the “trial”. He wanders at the edges a little agitated his eyes on the clouds or a crack in a nearby wall. He grimaces at the sight of Seti. He speaks to no one and takes no special place. When the priest is speaking Scolo changes. He stares with a slight smile – his head at an angle as though suffering from torticolis. He is still as a statue and remains so for a little time after the priest stops. Though he appears to be starring far away or lost perhaps in a dream his expression is that of a man smelling his spring roses while listening to a nightingale. Then he stiffens once more, his face is blank and expression disinterested and unreadable. He rocks just a little.
Thanks for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me.
