…..Red scrunchy.

I had a friend over when I was making my Thanksgiving pies (Chocolate Pecan to be deliciously exact) and one of the first things she said to me was “are you wearing a scrunchy? awesome.”.

It is awesome. It’s so old. And stretched out. But I never want to get ride of this old thing. I only wear it at home, or to drop something in the mailbox, or to run to the coffee shop. Other than those three occasions, this baby doesn’t leave the comfort (and privacy) of my apartment.

But I guess the secret is out. I still like scrunchies.

What’s your red scrunchy? A banana clip? Cheap products? Sponge rollers? Cap highlights? Lee press-on nails?

We all have something.

I had a blue/green plaid scrunchie I wore ALL the time when I was backpacking and living abroad for 2 years. I never even though anything of it until someone pointed out that it was awesome how I still wore scrunchies. I ended up getting rid of it after the trip (it was totally wrecked) and am really sad they don’t make them anymore. SO much nicer than elastic bands.

I thought scrunchies were back in a big way! Lately I’ve seen so many people wearing them here in Australia. It came with the revamp of the 90s ‘vintage’ fashion trend. Maybe its just us Aussies sporting the scrunchie as the latest cool hair accessory?

Haha, me too with the scrunchy. Mine is also red, and has a satiny shiny texture! it’s totally stretched put though, so thank goodness I also have a back-up .. A royal blue velvet one. I’m going to try changing the elastic in mine, because I can’t be without.

    Cute photo. Nice lipstick colour.

I just keep hoping that scrunchies will come back into power. They were so lovely. You look divine in yours. I also want the banana clip to back into fashion…they hurt my head…but they made me look like I had actually made an effort…when in fact I had not.

I just have to say that I made four chocolate pecan pies for thanksgiving this year and I thought I was the only one who made them! Yummm. My dad has requested that next year I add peanut butter chips as well.

I wear scrunchies every single day. Without fail. But, like you, they never EVER leave the house in my hair.

I have a black and silver scrunchie that was my mom’s in the actual 80′s. I use it when I bun my hair up for the night. I’ve also inherited two of those wired cloth hair thingies from the 90′s. Scrunchies are totally back in. I saw them at Forever 21 not too long ago. :)

I have an old scrunchie too that I only wear at home or to the mailbox! However, mine is by far more retro (in my opinion). It’s not only a classic scrunchie but it’s tie-dyed as well! Love it
