Hairdresser’s Beauty Products: Clarisonic

I’ve been using the Clarisonic Mia for a few months now. Ladies and fancy gentlemen, everything is different. Basically, the clarisonic is a little hand held device to wash your face. The brush has very soft bristles that vibrate, so you get a really great and gentle clean. I mean, I could see/feel results within a few days. Not to mention, I just don’t think I was getting all of my make up off before I was using my little Mia. The Clarisonic is a little expensive, so I held out for a while, but I kept hearing estheticians and beauty editors rave about it. I wish I would have bought it sooner, because I really feel that it was a worthy investment. Proper skin-care is very important to me.

Having such fair skin, I worry that I’m going to look wrinkly at a young age. I will do pretty much anything to prevent more skin damage/wrinks. Better late than never says the girl who used to tan too much. So if this Mia-chick is cleaning my skin better, then this Mia-chick is my best friend.

I use it once a day with Cetaphil, usually at night so that I can go to bed without taking all the dirt/hair product/make up from the day with me.

Buy a one here.

(ps can we talk about the state of my fingernails? have you ever seen the likes of my manicure looking so bedraggled?)

I get questions and emails about all kinds of other beauty products besides those of the hair sorts. It’s what inspired my Lips on Fire series, for instance. So if you don’t mind, I’d love to share my favorite beauty products and tips now&then. What works for me..and what I think you’d possibly benefit from. I find that the beauty product/skincare/make up world can be very overwhelming, so if you have great tips, please share them in the comments as well!

This post was not sponsored. I really just love my clarisonic.

I always Completely appreciate your product reviews so thank you! Why is this all in caps? I’m typing on my phone and don’t know how to make the caps madness stop hahaha. Intense. Anyway, thanks for the review! I saw these today and NeIman Marcus and wondered if it was worth the price tag. Mahalo!

I love your tips – I have a bit of a love/hate thing with my Clarisonic though! If I use it to much it strips my skin a bit too much so I have the joy of being dry with the added bonus of a breakout. But every now and again with a nice facemask to follow, it’s perfect! xo

I bought a Mia 5 months ago and I am so in love with it! Is it weird to say it changed my life? I have really bad adult acne and nothing was working besides taking medications, which I needed to stop. The mia has cleared up my face so well. I still get the occasional pimple, but my dermatologist recommended the neova breakout control swabs (also not cheap, but so worth it) and the pimple goes away. It’s seriously like magic. The price of the mia is what kept me back too, but now that I have it I think it’s worth every penny.

HEY – CLARISONIC LEFT YOU A COMMENT! HOW AWESOME!

I DON’T HAVE A CLARISONIC, BUT I BOUGHT SOMETHING SIMILAR FROM BEAUTI CONTROL A FEW YEARS AGO, AND ONLY USED IT ONCE OR TWICE. AFTER READING YOUR REVIEW, I GOT IT OUT AND USED IT LAST NIGHT. HOPEFULLY I WILL EXPERIENCE POSITIVE RESULTS WITH CONTINUOUS USAGE. SO THANK YOU FOR ENCOURAGING BETTER SKIN CARE! :)

Yep, I love mine too. I also bought one for my preteen daughter. I want her to learn how to take care of her skin before she starts wearing makeup. First things first :-) .

Ok, I have a Mia too, and I love it, but I’ve always wondered how other people use theirs. You already said you use it once a day, which I do too. Do you go over your face with just facewash first, and then use the Mia? Or do you just do it all at once? For some reason I feel like I need to get the makeup mostly off first.
Also, do you just move it around in little circles? Do you use much pressure? I’m just curious if I’m using it the right way! Thanks!
