Lips On Fire. Number One Red.

I have this one client from Hong Kong. She comes in and heads turn. I’m talking all the heads in New York City turn. Beautiful skin, gorgeous face, amazing style…she’s stunning. Just trust. She always wears a red so perfect, so I finally had to ask her what it was. She reached for her Chanel bag and pulled out a little tube of what I was calling “the red of the century”. I’ve now started calling it “the red of every century”, because there was never a better red. And there will never be a better red.

It’s Sephora Cream Lipstain. Number One-Always Red. And you can get it online here. (Bonus: It’s only 12 bones!)

Lip stains are great because they stay on for a very long time. In fact, put this on slowly and carefully, because it is hard to fix a mistake once it’s been applied. This lip stain only needs to be applied once every 12 hours, if that. You can eat, drink, kiss..whatever, and it will stay on. I wish they were paying me to say that.

This lip stain and I are so happy together. We smile, we smile big.

YOU always have the BEST lips! AH love! And I love this new feature because I constantly find myself wondering what color lipstick you’re wearing when I’m looking at your instagram pictures, etc.

Anyway, I am DEFINITELY going to try this one out – the color is amaze! And the fact that it doesn’t wipe off means that I can wear it without my boyfriend getting angry with me because he has lipstick on his forehead/cheek/lips. HA!

    P.S. you’re so pretty!

This is the perfect shade of red! I’m always telling my bunheads they need a “bright red lipstick” for stage makeup and they inevitably come back with something too pink or too brown. I’m forwarding this blog post to them.

That’s gorgeous! I love stains too for their long-lasting power. This one looks good, but seriously, if you love the world of lipstains and long-lasting lipcolor, you have got to try LipSense. Best one I’ve ever tried, and I have actually tried this Sephora one as well. I have a LipSense in almost this exact shade called Blu-Red (think Christina Aguilera’s lips, because she wears LipSense in Blu-Red) , and it has the best staying power EVER.

Can you please do an “Applying Bright Lipstick” tutorial? It might seem silly to you since you are obvs a pro at it, but I am just starting to venture into bright lips and they always seem a little off. Do you wear lip liner? The lady at MAC said that is very important to prevent “bleeding” but I just feel like an old lady applying lip liner that I refused to buy it haha, was she right?

Got this yesterday after reading the post! I did use a lip liner to outline where I wanted the stain to go. It does stay nice and bright, but I found it did come off a bit more than I was expecting. Tried it on before I was doing my nighttime exercises and my 6 year old said “why are you wearing lipstick to do yoga??”

    ha!

I noticed when I went to take it off that I had a few “whatever happened to baby jane” smears that I didn’t realize I’d done!

I have had this same lip stain for a while now, and let me say, IT IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!
Yes, it’s bangin, and yes, heads are gonna turn, and yes, people (men especially) will stare at your mouth when you talk.
If you can deal with all of that attention, it’s awesome, and its gorgeous, and it makes your teeth look so white! I have had more compliments when I wear that than anything else I own.
It does transfer, especially if you have had it on for a while, and I find that it kind of pills up on the edges of my lips (after several hours of wear and some reapplication on the inside edges of my lips where I ‘eat’ the lipstick). However, it is the most true red, and I love it! One other thing..right after you apply, let it dry with your lips parted, then cheese a big ol grin as hard as you can and wipe off any residue left on your teeth…it won’t just come off with a swipe of your tongue like regular lipstick.
Enjoy lookin like a beautiful, sexy bad-ass!

ok, that’s it, i’m officially becoming a reagan baker copycat.

ps you should do another blog sale w/ some of your beauty products thrown in this time too! aaaand you know what else would be awesome? if you did custom color mixes. esalon.com is a super cool concept, but they really don’t let you go more than 2-3 levels lighter than natural, which i can do with a drugstore box, so what’s the point? hardly seems “custom.” buuuut i know a hairdresser on fire who ROCKS at color and gets lots of internet love…. (isn’t that funny to think that you have an “online fanbase?” but you do! you totally do! pull THAT one out of the mental file when you can’t sleep at night, haha)

I bought this red a while back and absolutely love it. I get compliments every time but i stop using it because every time I eat my face looks like a crime scene. Do you have any tips for applying the lip stain. I want to wear it without having to starve.
