I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately. Blogginwise. I miss this blog and it’s always on my mind. I have a million ideas for upcoming projects, some that will even be happening in May! I’m really looking forward to showing them to you all.
I’ve been working on a million projects around my home these days and it’s pretty much day and night. On the weekends I find myself checking the free section of craigslist and going to flea markets to bargain as low as I can for little items to “spruce” up my home. (Not the same as my hair sprucing!) I recently found these girls at the Green Flea and couldn’t leave without them. Their hair puts me in a dream.
When you were little and you’d watch movies with your friends or family, would you yell out “I’m her” for the prettiest girl in the movie? I hope you did because my friends, cousins and sisters and I did that too. I would watch Princess Bride and Splash and I would refuse to watch the movie if I couldn’t be Buttercup or Madison. This applied to all major Disney movies too. Even the Jungle Book. Which only has a girl in it for 15 seconds.
Anyway, in this case, I get to be the pink one. But if one of you called it first, then I’ll be the orange girl. I’d settle for any of these girls. I love them, and their hair and their cheeks and their flowers. They’ve got my mind spinning with inspiration….
..And also caffeine.

I’m the yellow one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love them! I’m blueeeee
I call green! Too cute for sho’!
Oh shoot.. Blue is green! I better call orange! Lol! My coursing and I would okay Sleeping beauty and be the fairy’s with a chopstick!
Oh, they all have dibs on them! Oh well, I will just be the adorable twin of the yellow one:)
I love what you said about the “I’m her” in movies. My daughters- 7 and 5 do that all of the time!! Good reminder for me, when they’re arguing, that it’s normal
.
LOVE these! great find. Have fun with your projects.
My sister and I played that game, too, though we’d yell “that’s me!” We anxiously awaited the arrival of the season JC Penny’s catalogues that my mother got in the mail so that we could flip through the pages together yelling “that’s me!” Thanks for reminding me of those good times.
My sister and I used to do that all the time! Now my girls do it. LOVE those mugs, totally jelly.
I don’t know how many times I said “I’m her!” growing up!
I tried to explain it to my husband and then asked if he’d ever done this, and he was like, “What?”
When watching with my 4-year-old & 7-year-old nieces, it happens ALL the time. Especially with My Little Pony. Good times.
My three older kids drive me bananas with the “I’m her” game. I have had to ban it. It has caused an insane number of fights – especially on car trips. =)
Those mugs are amazing.
my mom had a re-fillable shampoo bottle when I was little that had a girl on it who reminds me of your cup girls. Except her hair was made of bubbles. I always pretended to be her when I was in the tub.
I am a million years older than you are…(I’m 41) and the artwork on those mugs reminds me of my childhood!! There were images kind of those little ladies on shampoo bottles…or in commercials. I had a bubble bath with a little lady like kind of like that on it. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. (I’m orange
)
I just read Mush’s comment…after I commented…I think I had that SAME shampoo!! Mush…I feel so close to you…and I am probably the same age as your mom!
These are an amazing antique pieces of mugs, they look quite fascinating and also brightly colored , a great for vintage look.
