Your love’s favorite hairstyle

Jake likes my hair the most when it’s long, blonde and bang-less. He seems to prefer it straight or with loose waves, rather than my natural wavy/curly business. Kind of Victoria’s Secret modelesque, which is a pretty common look for a guy to prefer I’m guessing.

I’m posting about this today, because it’s our 5 year wedding anniversary! We got married at a little chapel in Las Vegas where I wore my hair like a Victoria’s Secret bride might. It’s these special occasions that I want to look extra pretty for him, so I’m trying to decide how to wear my hair for our date tonight!¬† Down and wavy or down and straighty?

Does your love have a favorite hairstyle?

happy anniversary peeps! and yes, ed likes it NON PIXIE. the whole girl with long hair thing must have a bit of merit. of course he is too sweet to ever tell me he didn’t like the pixie. but i’m no dumby.

Happy wedding anniversary and your VS hair looks gorgeous! As much as I love to wear my mid-length hair twisted into a messy bun, the hubs prefers is long, straight and shiny ;) Men and long hair…yeesh ;)

My Gorilla likes my hair every way but dyed. He loves it short, long or mid-length but always asks when I’m going to stop dying it so the natural color can come back.

Happiest of anniversaies to you and Jake! Do you guys take an anniversary picture every year?

Happy Anniversary! I do not have a love, but the last guy I dated HATED my hair when it was dyed black, so I had it stripped out. I mean, I DO look a lot better without black hair, but I hated myself for doing something just to impress a guy. Le sigh… I guess in the end I’m glad I did it. :) A vegas wedding sounds really fun! Do you have any pics to share? :) :)

Yay happy anniversary!! I am so honored that I was able to be there that glorious day in Vegas. You were a beautiful bride!!! Alex is the same he likes it long (with hair extensions) I wish my hair was pretty without them but it sucks. Oh and yes very blonde. He hates the ombré and wants highlights on top too!!! Ha ha men.

my husband prefers my hair long-ish and straight… My hair is naturally pretty curly… But, he’s seen pretty much everything I’ve done to my hair… It was to my waist when we met, At my shoulders with blue through it for a while, pixie-short when we got engaged and now it’s just past my shoulders, three years later… He’s not a fan of ridiculous colors, highlights or anything… My natural color is almost black, and that’s what he like best.

Mine too, long and blonde. So predictable! I would have a short pixie cut if it was up to me. I promised him through babies I would keep it long then I am cutting it off for good. Can’t wait!

Post a pic from the wedding!! Yeah, my husband prefers big and bouncy curls. which is probably because I have THE straightest hair naturally.

My husband likes my hair long, too. We are in our early 40′s so he likes it full…not quite 80′s hair…but reminiscent of the 80′s…you know…back when we were young and spry. ;)

My husband also likes my hair long (w/extensions), blonde and with bangs. Typical guy! I read somewhere that it is ingrained in men’s “cavemen instincts” to like long, shiny hair because it is a sign of fertility! So I guess it’s not all their fault :) I guess I can’t complain because that theory keeps me in business, seeing as I’m a stylist who specializes in extensions! Happy anniversary Reagan!

    Happy Anniversary!

Currently I am sporting long (very long for me) dark hair with bangs, my dh likes it shorter and red. It all stems from his X-Files obsession (yes we are that old) and his idea that I resemble Gillian Anderson as Scully. With my blonde roots coming in fast and furious I am considering going back to red for him, but I prob won’t cut too much of it off. I like it long!

What is it with men and long hair?? Oh well, I would be lying if I said I preferred short hair over long. My hubby definitely likes long hair. My hair hits about, mmm, probably below the mid-way part of my back (don’t worry, it’s healthy-ish, not scraglly). He liked my blunt bangs, but I grew them out (he likes the “no bang” look, too). He likes curly hair, but I think it’s because I rarely do my hair curly (I’m a flat iron junky), so it’s a nice change for him. I have naturally dark blonde hair (with my awesome platinum blonde peek-a-boos)….but he actually prefers darker hair. Hmmm…..maybe it’s time I change things up a bit.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND JAKE!!

My Jake definitely likes my hair longer, no bangs, and in a ponytail. Not a bun, not down, not in a braid, but a super normal ponytail. I guess that make it easy on me. He also like my hair blonde, which it is naturally. It is starting to get darkish in the winters and he will always comment on how dark it is getting. Then I say I could go get it highlighted. He then changes his mind and thinks it is light enough. haha

My husband loves long hair, so he wasn’t so happy when I chopped it all off before the wedding. Oops. lol He also likes darker hair but I have always blonde. I am not doing a good job at having it how he likes! It is long now and I am contemplating going darker, so maybe after 12 years of being married he will finally like it! I agree, I think guys always like the Victoria’s Secret look.

You look gorgeous with your hair like that! (and all the styles you do too) :) Happy Anniversary!!

My boyfriend of a year + actually likes my hair dark and up in a bun! He says it reminds him of when he first saw me and how stunned he was. …Such a sweet guy! Now its blonde, straight and long. HA! I guess I’m not doing a good job with catering to him.

We’re women! What can we say? We can’t stick with the same hair for too long!

Happy Anniversary! 5 years, that’s awesome. I think your hair is always gorg, but I like the loose waves style. I’m more of a bangs girl myself, but men like what they like. :)

And I think my husband is a little bit on the weird side when it comes to what he likes. I’ve got thick red hair and have kept it pretty long for about 5 years or so after a super bad chop (my fault, I was having a rough day and told her “Cut it all”…she did) but when we met, it was at about my shoulders or just above, and that’s where he likes it best. I haven’t cut it that short again and probably won’t for a long time if ever, but he loves it shorter which I think is kind of abnormal for a guy. We also met at a summer camp as counselors, so the time my hair was down was few and far between, so he also likes it best in a messy bun. He LOVESSSS the top knot. Like, loves. it. Which I also find kind of strange. But I guess I’ll run with it…less work for me!

My hubs would prefer my hair in a shoulder length bob and blonde if I could pull it off. My hair is long and dark.

I get conflicted about this…I’ve had long hair for a very long time. Total security blanket. I sometimes think I should cut it. I did it once for him. He loved it. So did I, for a day. A few months ago I melted it blondish and the blonde seemed all wrong on me. Between my hair being naturally wavy, it’s been really hard to find the right length and haircut and color for me. I’ve tried layers and it looks terrible…This is really getting off the point. My hair is frustrating me today, so that’s way. But back to the initial question….I think he’d prefer it shorter or blonder and I am at a loss which way to go. Help.

Personally, from what I have seen from your photos, I really think your hair is gorgeous when is has some curl in it. Straight is cute, but something about a little curl/wave that makes things seem more romantic.
My husband prefere’s my hair a medium-long length, down, big and semi-curly.
Congrats on a great mile stone.

My guy hardly even notices…which a good and bad. When I do something new he says, “Looks Nice.” When it’s long and wavy he says, “Looks Nice.” When it’s short and sweet he says “Looks Nice.” When it looks bad I don’t ask him! Duh?! But even if I did he’d say, “It’s Fine.”

My significant other likes my hair long and straight over almost anything, most likely because my hair is usually a messy blur of waves and curls. Like someone else said, I think he likes straight because I don’t really straighten my hair often. My hair is naturally medium ashy brown but my hunny has loved my reddish hues for the past 4-5 months. And I love it myself as well so it’ll be sticking around for a while :)

Happy anniversary to you and Jake!

I’m not married, and I don’t currently have a boyfriend, but this guy I used to work with and kinda/sorta had a thing with loved my hair blonde and curly. So whenever I knew I was going to work with him, I would wear it curly (and put on a little extra makeup and wear something cute!) I think he actually got sad when I dyed it light brown. My friend (who I also worked with) always laughed when I walked into work with curly hair because she knew I would be working with him. I laugh when I think about this. I do miss my blonde hair sometimes, but having light brown hair (pretty much my natural) with a few blonde and red highlights is so much easier to maintain!

I’ve had short to super short(Natalie Portman buzzcut) length hair for a while. Right now I’m in the midst of growing it out and its almost a bob. Let’s see how far I last before I get the urge to chop it all off again.
