*it was a little hard to see with the room being so dark. jake said it made awesome lighting, which he was right about, but it was very hard for me to see what i was doing. haha. oh well, you get the point, right?

Thanks for the tutorial! I’m loving your shirt. Where did you get it?

Thank you!!!! Can’t wait to try it! So much better than my “running pony”
This looks so incredibly easy. Thanks for posting! I will put this one to great use.
ok. i haven’t finished the video yet i just wanted to comment quick before i watch….I EFFIN LOVE THAT SONG!!!! yay! you should youtube the live version of it…I love how into their music they are. it made me appreciate them even more. ok let me go watch how to do a pony tail properly.
LOVE this! Perfect for my hair right now. Alas, I can’t do a ponytail myself as I have a “frozen shoulder” from lifting my hefty 14-month-old, but the good news is that my husband has turned out to be an awesome pony tail maker! I’ll show him this video even though I think I can probably handle the teasing part of it (he teases me enough!!) and then he could do the low pony.
Thank you for this, and Happy New Year to you, Jake and Pip!
Great video!
Thank you! I will definitely be trying this – perfect day to night hairstyle.
I love your tutorials! They make me feel like I could and SHOULD do my hair! The mom ponytail was getting old so this will jazz it up considerably.
You are great.
Reagan!
Love the tutorial.
would love a posts on combs and backcombing/teasing! I see you have the rat-tail comb—- I have one with the big & little teeth in it? know what I mean? Do you recommend using the one w/ teeth all the same length? is it hard on your hair? is teasing in general hard on your hair?
Thank you!!
Love it! What a fun new twist!
I rocked a teased pony today, thank you for the tutorial!!
Your hair already has a lot of texture, though. What is there to do for the baby fine haired gals? Teasing always shows and never really holds, but maybe I just need to practice more. On a related note, would love some suggestions for thickeners that actually work. Also, a basic blowout tutorial would be much appreciated. Thanks, Reagan!
I am not skilled in the hairstyle department, so I really appreciate your tutorials. I tried out the teased pony this morning, and it worked great!! I can’t wait to for more styles to work with! Thanks for helping us out
Thank you, Reagan! That was perfect. Love your tutorials!
Gita- My mom has super thin hair, and she uses the matrix amplify line, with Paul Mitchell gel and matrix’s Vavoom hairspray. It works really well for her and makes her hair look much thicker.
One of my friends also uses some redken thickeners with Bedhead’s hardhead hairspray, and you can’t even tell her hair is thin.
Hope this helps!
Thanks, Jessica! Appreciate you taking the time.
Reags, I have serious hair envy.
I’m rocking a short teased pony today and I’m lovin’ it! It’s definitely made my slept-on hair more polished. Thanks for the tutorial!
I loved this video and tried the technique out on both my girl’s today. They are 10 & 6 and both have completely different hair and it looked excellent on both of them. They loved watching me tease their hair. Thanks so much for the tutorial…
I’m so happy the hairstyle you is “in my life” now. I’ve been reading your blog on Pip for ages but forgot you had your hair blog. I have finally found someone that has similiar hair to mine so I’m beyond thrilled that you are actually rocking hairstyles and showing me that I can do with my hair. YAY for me!! Guess I’m going shopping for a rat comb and a curling iron. And please divulge the name of the French song from your other tutorial. I must habs!!
I just recently discovered your blog and have had so much fun reading it! Thanks for posting these tutorials. They are very helpful and a pleasure to watch. I am curious – which song was used in this tutorial?
Thank you for the tips. I have been thinking of trying this look since I had a fringe cut 2 weeks ago. Love the background music at the end – sounds like Jean Michel Jarre.
i love your tutorials. So simply and easy. Keep them coming! :0) If i may offer some advice….u should refrain from using rubber bands in your hair…..they cut the hair!! No bueno.
To start I love your tutorials. They aren’t cheesy like some I’ve seen. Even as a hairdresser I love watching your video’s, it gives me tips
Just a question and I really hope you will respond and tell me… I’m wondering what colors you put in your hair. I’ve tried to get this look several times and I just can’t master the look I’m going for. Thanks
